At the beginning it is assumed that within the family circle everything remains normal. The infant, alone, wanders around the pool. Time goes by. He finally falls into the water and drowns.
The atmosphere is strange, introverted. The slightly morbid and monumental Villa, the silence, the calm and the isolation of the protagonists lead the spectators to a rare self-absorption.
The loss of her son causes the mother to be involved in utter sadness and emptiness. The mourning and the irresistible intention of reconnecting with her son causes her to return to the water again and again.
The mother is now in her own growing and lonely anguish until she plunges under the water in search of her son.
